Hyacinth D. McLeish Foundation, INC is a Section 501(C)(3) nonprofit and humanitarian agency bent on making the lives of aspiring youths and young adults better. Growing up involves more than just getting older. The opportunity to dream big and attain these as a means to improve the quality of one’s life should be an unwavering goal. We are a nonprofit organization that offers a complete set of financial assistance and mentorship supports to youths and young adults from single-parent households between the ages of 17 and 25 to assist them to reach the heights they desire.

Education should be inevitable for our youth/young people, and we understand the need to promote, effect and offer the best education and financial support possible. Our financial support is specifically designed for young adults who truly need our help because they come from impoverished backgrounds. These set of beneficiaries should be of sound character, integrity, and stand out in academics. It is clear that education is valued by many, but it is our position to support our rising leaders of tomorrow, by making the road to such attainment all the more possible.
Countless youths and young adults have untapped their potential due to lack of mentorship, education, and financial support. Our foundation’s team is focused on assisting such aspiring youths/young people to grow and shine, by providing mentoring and educational opportunities with adequate financial support for them to realize their goals. Most youth/young people from limited financial backgrounds just need a strong and consistent support system to push them to become a conduit and change agent for themselves and others around them.
OUR FOCUS
We focus basically on age group 17 – 25 years from disenfranchised communities, whether locally, nationally, or internationally, with the ever-growing passion to help them pursue higher education (2 to 4 year colleges). Hyacinth D. McLeish Foundation, INC believes in making every youth/young adult grow to become a better version of themselves through tailored mentorship and post-secondary education. We know how important higher education is, and the significant roles it plays in being socially conscious, outspoken, smart, and adaptive. As such; we strive to create a favorable environment for all youths/young adults from single-parent households to get the best of education.

A sound education is one of the single most tangible vehicles one can utilize not only to transform their lives but also the lives of others around them – education brings about irreversible changes and life experiences.
However, the quest for such can easily be derailed by a lot of external factors such as; family dynamics, poverty, limited community/environmental capital, access to meaningful/productive opportunities.

With the lack of proper guidance and a well-developed support system in place; often many aspiring youths and young adults are likely to succumb/become a product of their environments - living daily with buried dreams and hopes. Their future is not as bright as the dreams they have held in their hearts. At Hyacinth D. McLeish Foundation, INC, we help these people make their dreams come true. We share a philosophy that advocates assisting others to rise, pursue and achieve their dreams; and this philosophy is reflected in everything we do.
