Hyacinth D. McLeish Foundation, INC is a team with the focus of helping dreams come true. We didn’t just start off and hoped to become trendy when it comes to providing financial and mentorship support to young adults. We are a nonprofit agency that began after series of a non-smooth journey to success. Our founder and President, Dr. Tracy A. McLeod nurtured and metamorphosed the idea of establishing a nonprofit agency in a bid to give back to communities/society, as well as help those whose stories are in line with a ‘dream chaser's mindset.
Hyacinth D. McLeish Foundation, INC is named after Dr. McLeod’s mother, Hyacinth. Hyacinth is a courageous single mother of eight who despite all odds ensured she gave all her children the best version of herself. Hyacinth D. McLeish Foundation, INC is so named to pay homage and appreciate Hyacinth while she still lives – especially in light of her diagnosis with advanced stages multiple myeloma cancer in 2013.
The mission and vision of inspiring, promoting, and building natural courage in young people between the ages of 17- 25 work hand in glove to deliver only the best assistance and mentorship. Like Hyacinth didn’t despise her children throughout the trial times, so we do not ignore but work hard to assist anyone who meets our requirements for assistance and mentorship. We draw on both Hyacinth and Dr. McLeod’s good deeds to pay back to the society and help young dream chasers reach their goals faster without much hassle.

Dr. Tracy A. McLeod the founder and President of Hyacinth D. McLeish Foundation, INC. is a university professor who has lived the life encapsulated in the mission, vision, and core values of the foundation. With the vision of this foundation ingrained in the individual activities and collective movements of its members, we always profess and do what we stand for – inspire, assist, mentor, encourage, and motivate youth/young adults from single-parent households to get a better education and become better in life.
